LI Man Drove To Pennsylvania For Sex With 13-Year-Old: Police

Police say the man met the teen on a social media app, and then drove to Pennsylvania to have sex with her on multiple occasions.

HILLTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — A Long Island man has been arrested after police said he made several trips to Bucks County, Pennsylvania to meet a 13-year-old for sex.

Matthew Veltri, 26, of Massapequa Park, faces numerous charges. Veltri met the victim over a social media app, according to authorities. He then drove down to Hilltown Township on three separate occasions for sex in early March, police said.

Following Veltri's arrest on April 17, Nassau County police executed a search warrant on his home, where they said they found child pornography.

Veltri has been charged in Bucks County with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault corruption of minors and criminal use of a communication facility. He will be charged in New York separately for the child porn.

He is currently booked in Nassau County and will be extradited to Pennsylvania shortly. A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
