3 East Haven High School Students Honored

The East Haven Rotary Club recently recognized three East Haven High School students.

From the East Haven Rotary Club: The East Haven Rotary Club recently recognized three East Haven High School students as their most recent recipients of the club's Student of the Month program.

Pictured from left to right are Rotarian Tammy Afragola, Sarah Bennett, Amaya Bell, Rotary President Bill Richardson, Matthew Lisko and Rotarian Carol Apuzzo. Each month the Rotary recognizes a student from East Haven High School's junior class.

The student is invited to attend a Thursday night dinner meeting at the Twin Pines Diner Restaurant and is presented with a certificate and a check for $100. Winners then become eligible for the $1,000 Jack Leary Memorial scholarship to be awarded at the end of their senior year.

The Club will be celebrating its 80th anniversary during 2019, as it was organized on March 3, 1939.
