The Westminster Dog Show 2019 Winners And Highlights: Photos

All the best photos from the 143rd Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, from Best in Show winner King to the disqualified Schipperke, Colton.

The 143rd Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show has crowned King, the fox terrier, as winner for Best in Show at Madison Square Garden last night, February 12, 2019.

Fox Terriers are no stranger to the Westminster Dog Show, as King becomes the breed's 15th dog to take home top honors. Coming in second was Bono, a Havanese that beat out more than 2,800 other dogs who entered the competition.

Other highlights from the Westminster Dog Show 2019 include Bean, the adorable Sussex Spaniel that won the sporting group category and Wilma, a fan-favorite spunky Boxer.

Nevertheless, controversy was anything but absent from the 143rd Westminster Dog Show. Just a day after earning a spot in the final ring of seven dogs, Colton the Schipperke was suddenly ruled ineligible for best in show. Westminster Dog show judge Peter Green's "longtime partner has co-owned dogs with one of Colton's co-owners," and therefore created a conflict of interest, reported AP. "Colton was allowed to run around the ring, then was excused."
