BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — A man beat a woman over the head with a metal scooter in a random Downtown Brooklyn attack, according to police.

The silver scooter-slinging man snuck up on the 44-year-old woman near Bridge and Fulton streets just after 7 p.m. Saturday, police said.

He critically injured the woman with the two-wheeled scooter then ran away on Fulton Street, said police.

Medics rushed the woman to an area hospital and police released photos of the suspect late Thursday night.

Photos show him wearing a black jacket, brown pants and black gloves.
