Accident On 309 In Montgomery Twp., One Lane Closed

Breaking: A slippery rush hour Tuesday resulted in a crash on Route 309. EMS was called to the scene, and one lane remains blocked.

MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP, PA — An accident on Route 309 during the rain Tuesday afternoon has left one lane shut down as rush hour approaches.

The incident occurred at 4:01 p.m. in the southbound lanes, between North Wales Road and the jughandle.

EMS units, including VMSC of Lansdale, are responding to the scene.

Additional traffic should be expected in the area as the accident is cleared. It's the left lane that is shut down.

It was just one of many accidents late Tuesday afternoon around Montgomery County, as commuters battled slippery conditions.
