The 50 Best Places To Live In Pennsylvania, New Survey Says

A new analysis looks at the 50 best places to live in Pennsylvania. See which towns made the cut:

Where's the best place to live in Pennsylvania?

The website HomeSnacks set out to discover just that, recently ranking the 50 best places to live in the Keystone State. The website, which professionally ranks cities, counties, and states using various data, used an array of sources to come up with its list of best places to live in Pennsylvania for 2020.

HomeSnacks said it crunched numbers from new census data and FBI statistics. They also looked at home values, median income, crime rates, education, poverty and more, and rated each criteria. Analysts then compiled the numbers to find the best places to live.

To come up with the list, each town in Pennsylvania was given a ranking on various factors from one to 170, with one being the best, HomeSnacks explained. "We then took the average rank across all criteria, with the city posting the lowest overall score being crowned the winner of the title 'Best Place To Live In Pennsylvania.'"

So which Keystone State town received the top honor?

According to HomeSnacks, it's Camp Hill in Cumberland County. There, unemployment is low (3.8 percent), schools are good, and home prices are reasonable.

Several towns in the Philadelphia region made the top 10, including Swarthmore (Delaware County), Conshohocken (Montgomery County), Collegeville (Montgomery County), and Ridley Park (Delaware County).

Even more made the top 50, including Ambler (Montgomery County), Perkasie (Bucks County), Media (Delaware County), and Lansdale (Montgomery County).
