ICYMI: Torchy's Tacos To Open In Pflugerville May 8, 2019

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Torchy’s Tacos, the popular Austin-based taco chain, is poised to open its first location in Pflugerville early next month, officials said on Tuesday.

The opening is scheduled on May 8, marking the chain's 16th location in the greater Austin area. The restaurant will serve up its self-described "damn good tacos" (as unofficial motto emblazoned on eatery walls), its popular queso, a full bar menu and more in the Stone Hill Town Center at 18817 Limestone Commercial Dr.

“With Austin’s burgeoning population, it only makes sense that we bring our Damn Good tacos to the Pflugerville community,” G.J. Hart, CEO of Torchy’s Tacos said in a prepared statement. “As we grow and expand throughout the Southwest, we want our most loyal fans to know that our roots remain in Austin.”

Guests can dine-in and enjoy fan favorites such as the Trailer Park taco, the Crossroads taco and Green Chile Queso, as well as Torchy’s popular Taco of the Month offering. Just in time for warmer weather, the Stone Hill location will also feature an outdoor patio and full-service bar where taco lovers can enjoy beer, fresh-squeezed margaritas and signature cocktails such as the Tequila Temptress, Torchy’s Paloma and additional sinful concoctions, officials noted.

To celebrate the new restaurant, Torchy’s will host a grand opening party on Tuesday, May 7, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Pflugerville community is invited to join the festivities while enjoying free tacos, drinks and live entertainment. In addition, free taco money will be up for grabs for one lucky raffle winner who visits the new location when it opens for business on Wednesday, May 8.

The Stone Hill restaurant will be Torchy’s Tacos 53rd location in the Texas. A Round Rock location is also set to open in late summer 2019, officials said.
