SEATTLE, WA β€” The 22-year-old motorcyclist who was hit by a pickup truck along Northeast 35th Street on June 10 has died, according to his family. Jackson Reavis was just a few blocks from home when he was hit at the intersection of 35th Avenue Northeast and Northeast 75th Street.

On a GoFundMe fundraiser page, Reavis' family said he was in the hospital for two days after the accident before doctors determined he had no brain activity. Reavis was hit at around 5:15 p.m. on Monday in Wedgwood when an 87-year-old man driving a pickup truck made a left turn onto 75th, Seattle police said.

The pickup truck driver was not impaired, police have said, but the cause of the accident was still under investigation as of last week.

Reavis is an organ donor, his family said. The GoFundMe fundraiser is looking to raise $50,000 in part to pay for expenses related to transferring Reavis' organs to recipients. The Ravenna Blog was the first to report on the fundraiser.

"Sweet, handsome, smart, Jackson whose smile could light up a room. We will all miss him greatly," the fundraiser page says.

Northeast 85th has undergone a controversial redesign recently, and there has been anecdotal evidence that cars are driving more recklessly along the street. Bicyclists have begun calling Northeast 35th the "Durkan Speedway" after Mayor Jenny Durkan role in deciding not to add bike lines. Business owners along the street had lobbied against bike lanes in order to keep parking spots intact.
