MILWAUKEE, WI —For those who enjoy a good, flame-broiled hamburger, choosing right restaurant for that dining experience can be a joyful exercise.
In the Metro Milwaukee area, the top-rated burger restaurant on Trip Advisor is the iconic Leon's Frozen Custard Drive-Through at 3131 S 27th St. in Milwaukee. The burgers at Leon's are not the typical fare you'd expect, and actually resembles more of a Sloppy Joe than anything.

The business is still owned and operated by the original family. The main focus of the business is and always has been to serve the Freshest and Finest Frozen Custard available anywhere. We are open all year and have a full soda fountain service, limited sandwich menu, daily special flavors and take-out service.

Everything about Leon's is like taking a step back in time: the lines in the parking lot, the low prices on their limited menu, and the amazing ice cream and sandwiches (but no fries!) The hot dogs are small but tasty and cost around $2. Their "Spanish" hamburger isn't really a burger, but is cooked ground beef on a bun, which tastes surprisingly good. The custard is fantastic. The service is fast once you get up to a window.
