Gui Leme’s free kick in the 90th minute enabled Virginia Beach United (4-3) to rally past North Carolina Fusion’s U-23 team 3-2 Saturday night in USL League Two play at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex.

Fusion (4-2-2) began the night leading the South Atlantic Division, and the visitors went ahead 2-1 in the 60th minute on Nick Spielman’s goal. But VBU pulled even on Pato Aguilera’s free kick in the 75th minute, then won it just before the final whistle.

Also in USL League Two, Travis Cooke headed home the go-ahead goal in the 78th minute, sparking Lionsbridge FC (4-4-1) to a 4-2 victory over Tobacco Road FC at Pomoco Stadium.

Luke Brown’s second goal of the night, in the 84th minute, gave the Lions a 4-2 edge and all but clinched the game.

Lionsbridge took the lead in the 12th minute as New Jersey Institute of Technology’s Rene White scored off an assist from Cornell’s JP Scearce. Tobacco Road (2-5-1), from North Carolina, pulled even at 1 on USC Upstate player Pol Monells’ free kick in the 33rd minute and went ahead 2-1 on another Monells goal in the 41st, but Brown, from England and Hofstra, tied the game in the 44th.

In USL League One, Chattanooga Red Wolves FC (4-4-3) shut out the Richmond Kickers 2-0 at City Stadium, dropping the Kickers to 3-6-3.

Amirgy Pineda broke a scoreless tie in the 63rd minute, and Sito Seaone netted the clinching goal in the 90th.
