Suniva, Heliene team up to make US domestic content solar modules
Mar 28, 2024 8:30 CESTDEPCOM Power, a US engineering, procurement & construction (EPC) and operations & maintenance (O&M) services provider, on Monday said it has launched construction of a 113-MW solar farm in Virginia.
The Altavista Solar farm is located near Lynch Station. The project's capacity is given in direct current (DC). DEPCOM is building the solar park for Liberty Power Corp LLC, while Apex Clean Energy was the project developer.
The solar park will be the first utility-scale solar system in Campbell County and is expected to generate more than USD 1.8 million (EUR 1.6m) in local tax revenue over its 35-year lifetime. The solar facility is scheduled to be completed and connected to the grid by the end of 2020.
DEPCOM has already built two other solar facilities in Virginia and is currently constructing two more in the state.
