ROKER RICHES: Sunderland are short odds to win tomorrow - emphatic victory or will it be tough?

Despite Sunderland’s loss last week, the bookies have us priced as heavy favourites to beat Rochdale.

I really hope our form in this feature and Sunderland’s form on the pitch isn’t intertwined.

Both started the season strongly, leading you believe we had entered a new era - an era of positivity. An era where anything can be overcome.

Then we stuttered a little bit but still managed to get results, keeping things ticking over.

Last week, though, that was a total capitulation for both the lads and our gamblers. Sunderland were terrible away to Burton Albion and only one of our pundits made any money. Let’s hope everything turns around with a win against Rochdale!

The Table...

The Banker’s Bonus...

If Sunderland win without going behind and round it off with a clean sheet, the banker will double the money of all winning SAFC bets.

Our Picks...

Gav - @Gav1879

Sunderland to win & over 1.5 goals: As bad as last week was we have to be confident and play with a chip on our shoulder this weekend. Here’s hoping for an emphatic victory! £10 returns £24.

Fourfold: It’s been a while since I won one of these. Crystal Palace, Leeds, Charlton and Yeovil - haway! £10 returns £180.

Rory - @RoryFallow

Sunderland to win 1-0: Both ourselves and Rochdale are decent in front of goal, while neither side is shy of conceding. Logically, that would make you think it’s going to be a high scoring game. There is no logic in League One though, so lets say we’ll grind out a 1-0. £5 returns £37.50.

Brighton to beat Spurs BTTS: Tottenham are in a bit of a rut at the minute, so 7/1 for Brighton to win at home is decent if you fancy a speculative flutter this weekend. £5 returns £40.

Danny - @DJRoberts22

Sunderland to win: We need to bounce back this weekend and while Rochdale are not to be underestimated, a promotion-chasing side should be winning home games like this. £10 returns £20.

Fourfold - Leicester, Nottm Forest, West Brom & Portsmouth all to win: Banking on the home favourites to get me a win. £10 returns £75.12.

Bromley - @connorbromley

Sunderland to win to nil: We will bounce back this weekend against Rochdale and romp to a victory and a clean sheet. At 13/5 this bet offers some pretty good value. £10 returns £36.

Palace, Liverpool, Leeds and Forest to win: I reckon Newcastle will lose again this weekend against Hodgson’s Palace. Liverpool should breeze past Southampton while Leeds and Forest face games against two of the Championship’s lesser sides. £10 returns £75.60.

Dan Parker - @DGP202

Sunderland to win, over 2.5 goals in the game, and 2 or more corners in the game: Going back to the structure of the last bet that won for me... simple as that! £10 returns £38.

8 team Acca: Sunderland, Juve, Chelsea, Madrid, Barca, Man City, Liverpool, and Leeds. All to win. Ha’wayyy. £5 returns £78.06.

Chris - @chrissavedlatin

Sunderland to win 2-0: I think Ross and his team will have worked hard on the training pitch this week to ensure we don’t concede first again this weekend. I’m backing the lads to keep a clean sheet in a comfortable win on Saturday. £7.50 returns £75.

Bournemouth, Villa, Leeds and Man Utd to win: Four favourites, all they have to do is win. It’s like printing money. £20 returns £226.29.

Graham - @AsylumDoors

Sunderland vs Rochdale over 2.5 goals: There’s been plenty goals in our games and I do fancy another goal fest on Saturday. I’m just hoping we are on the right side of it! £10 returns £17.

Charlton, Leeds and Leicester to win - I can’t see Huddersfield trouble a pretty decent Leicester side, whereas Birmingham shouldn’t trouble Leeds. I’ve been surprised how poorly Plymouth have started, whilst I thought Charlton looked good up at the SOL and I expect them to win too. £10 returns £56.70.
