Former Lake View Teacher Indicted For Inappropriate Relations with a Student

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A former Lake View High School assistant girls basketball was indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury on February 7 for an  improper relationship between an educator and a student.

Matthew Hummingbird, 26, was arrested in October after admitting to a Texas Ranger that he had sex with student from Lake View on New Years.

This is not the only charge he is facing. He also fully confessed to another sexual relationship between him and a student from Reagan County.

At the time of the incident Hummingbird was a long-term substitute and assistant girls basketball coach for Lake View. At the time of the arrest Hummingbird was a teacher at Kermit Junior High School and the quarterbacks coach for their high school football team.
