Inter have identified two players they could potentially move for in the event that primary target Edinson Cavani does not agree to lower his wage demands according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Inter see Cavani as the ideal replacement for Lautaro Martinez should he depart the club but his current salary is an issue.

Cavani is well aware the only chance of him being able to earn the same if not more is by moving to one of the Arab based clubs interested in him but he ultimately wishes to continue playing his football in Europe for a few more years yet.

If the Uruguayan national team striker, whose Paris Saint-Germain contract is up at the end of this month, does not agree to lower his demands then Inter will shift their attention elsewhere.

The report from the Turin newspaper goes on to explain that Inter could move for one of Arsenal duo Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Alexandre Lacazette.

Aubameyang’s future with the club is currently up in the air with his contract set to expire at the end of next season whilst Inter could offer Matias Vecino or Ivan Perisic – if Bayern Munich don’t buy him – in an exchange deal for Lacazette, who could be interested in trying something new.
