Springfield: Joint Narcotics Teams Employ Armored Vehicle In Drug Bust

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A search warrant executed by the Springfield Police Department Narcotics Unit, Robertson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit and the Springfield Police Department SPEAR Team allegedly netted illegal narcotics and an illegally possessed firearm, according to Springfield city officials.

The warrant was served around 6 pm Wednesday afternoon at a home on 20th Ave W near Main St. MAP The number of law enforcement officers, some in military gear and long guns with the presence of Springfield’s military all-terrain vehicle drew a crowd of area residents and neighbors.

Demarquis Montez Carr, 24, of Springfield was arrested. Carr was transported to the Robertson County Jail in Springfield under a $26,000 Bond and charged with Possession, Sale and Delivery of Schedule II narcotics, Simple Possession of Schedule VI, and Possession of Firearm During a dangerous felony.

Two additional individuals were briefly detained in handcuffs but were released at the scene.

Carr bonded out of jail two hours after being processed at the county jail.

According to Springfield city officials, the search warrant was part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
