NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team fell to No. 9 nationally-ranked Southern New Hampshire University, 7-1 at Jess Dow Field. The Owls fall to 1-13 overall and 1-10 in the Northeast 10, while the Penmen improve to 12-3 overall and 9-2 in the NE10.

Brianna Craft (Hamden, Conn.) made six saves between the pipes, while junior
Jessica Maier (Enfield, Conn.) scored her second goal of the season. Junior
Chloe Knight (New Milford, Conn.) and freshman
Janelle Ward (Kitchener, Ontario) collected a shot apiece. Ward also made four saves in Craft's fourth quarter relief.
