Charlotte Rescue Mission served more than 150 people Sunday for their holiday meal.

Organizers say the event is not just to serve a meal, but provides residents in need with dignity and hospitality during the holiday.

“They’re coming expecting a great meal, they’ll have a fantastic meal,” said Charlotte Rescue Mission President and CEO Rev. Tony Marciano. “But we want to make God’s love so real with everything we’re doing that it touches their heart and they go, 'You know maybe I do realize now that God really does love me.'"
