MORRISVILLE, N.C. – More places are asking visitors from North Carolina to self-quarantine for two weeks.

This week, Washington, D.C. was the latest city to put North Carolina on its "high risk" list after Chicago, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. North Carolina continues to see large cases of the coronavirus, and other states believe the measure will help reduce the spread.

"It definitely can be challenging," says Ariel Davis, who flew back from Chicago on Tuesday. She didn't know about the new rule but still took precautions. She took a COVID-19 test before leaving for the Windy City, which tested negative.

"Like the majority of my time there [Chicago], I was just kind of in my apartment and was definitely hanging out with one or two people at a time," she says.

Davis is about to move to Washington, where she plans to abide by the order.

"It's definitely hard because once you move to a new place, you want to explore the area, see what's around," she adds.
