AUSTIN, Texas -- Austin Fire Friday afternoon reported light smoke at the Texas State Capitol complex prompted a response from fire units.

The smoke was reported just after 1 p.m.

An evacuation was conducted as fire crews investigated the source of the smoke. About 1:45 p.m., Austin Fire reported that nothing was found in the lower extension of the complex and the evacuation was lifted.
