What are the Indianapolis Colts odds of winning Super Bowl LIV?

QB Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts look to build on last year’s strong showing in 2019 with another run into the playoffs. They finished second in the AFC South with a 10-6 record, but their playoff status wasn’t secured until right at the end of the regular season.

After missing all of the 2017 season with health problems, Luck silenced his critics last year, throwing for 4,593 yards and 39 touchdowns. Luck’s Colts started slow last year, winning just once in the first six games. From there, they were a different team: They won nine of their last 10 games to sneak into the playoffs, where they beat the Houston Texans 21-7 before falling 31-13 to the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round.

Most of the nucleus returns and the Colts added some new weapons for Luck to play catch with. Free-agent WR Devin Funchess (Carolina Panthers) joined the team during the offseason and they drafted WR Parris Campbell in the NFL Draft’s second round. WR Deon Cain, a promising sixth-round pick from a year ago, looks to be in the mix, too, after missing his rookie season with injury.

These newcomers join a talented group led by WR TY Hilton (1,270 yards, 6 TDs); TE Eric Ebron (750 yards, 13 TDs) is coming off his career-best season and TE Jack Doyle (245 yards, 2 TDs) returns after playing just six games a year ago due to injury problems. If RB Marlon Mack can improve on last year’s 908-yard, nine-touchdown campaign, this offense could be special.

Indianapolis also bolstered their defense during the offseason, adding DE Justin Houston (Kansas City Chiefs). Houston, 30, brings 18.5 sacks in the past two years to the table and will help the Indy D apply pressure, a problem recently. Rookie LBs Ben Banogu (second round), Bobby Okereke (third) and EJ Speed (fifth) from this year’s NFL Draft also bring some new blood to the position, where second-year Darius Leonard was an absolute beast a year ago.

Will this all be enough to push Indianapolis deep into the playoffs and onto the Super Bowl? With the Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans improving and in the Colts’ division, Indy will need to play like they did in the second half right from the start in 2019. How do the sportsbooks view the Colts?

What are the Indianapolis Colts odds of winning the Super Bowl?

Oddsmakers have the Colts in the top-five of all teams most likely to win, so they apparently think last year’s second-half production wasn’t a fluke.
