Murali Vijay's 74 off 47 balls lifted Tamil Nadu to a 3-wicket victory against Vidarbha in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 2019.

5:15 pm: Ravichandran Ashwin is run out by Faiz Fazal off the penultimate ball of the 19th over, but Abhishek Tanwar and J. Kousik (41 off 35 balls) finish off the match with four balls to spare. Tamil Nadu beats Vidarbha by 3 wickets.

5:09 pm: Andhra Pradesh clinches a thriller by 3 runs against Jharkhand. Saurabh Tiwary's 54 seemed to have settled things for Jharkhand,but two run outs by K.S. Bharath and quick wickets by Y. Prithvi Raj at the toe end of the innings restricts Jharkhand for 176 runs.

12:30 pm: Tripura downs Cricket Association of Pondicherry by eight wickets.  Opener U.U. Bose top-scores with an unbeaten 72(54b) to help Tripura chase down Pondicherry's 102 runs in 17 overs and coast home with eight wickets remaining.

12:15 pm: Kerala completes 10-wicket win over Nagaland.  Openers Vishnu Vinod (53, 38b) and Rohan S. Kunnummal (51, 36b) remain unbeaten in a chase of 105. Kerala needs just 12.2 overs to achieve the target against a listless Nagaland.

12:10 pm: Haryana beats Assam by seven wickets. Set a target of 81 in a rain-curtailed 15 overs-a-side contest, Haryana completes chase with considerable ease. It crosses the finish line in 8.4 overs with the loss of just three wickets.

12:05 pm: J&K defeats Manipur by eight wickets.  Chasing 183, J& K achieves the target in 17.1 overs. Bandeep Singh(59 n.o.) and Shubham Singh Pundir stitch together an unbroken 88-run partnership for the third wicket to guide their team team with 17 balls to spare.

12:01 pm: Uttar Pradesh beats Team Utttarakhand by 118 runs. Team Uttarakhand is all out for 91 in 16.3 overs and slumps to a heavy defeat. Mayank Mishra is the last man to get out, clean bowled by Saurabh Kumar for his fifth wicket of the match.

11.49 am: Team Uttarakhand is on the verge of a heavy defeat, having lost its ninth wicket. Sunny is dismissed for a duck, by Saurabh Kumar, who has four wickets to his name. The target is 210. Meanwhile, J&K is on the verge of victory, it needs 34 more runs to win in five overs, with eight wickets in hand.

11.38 am: Himachal finishes its innings on 150, against Team Rajasthan. Ankush Bains is the top scorer, with 55 off 47 deliveries.

11.33 am: Chhattisgarh loses its second wicket, in its chase of 189 against Bengal. Shashank Chandrakar is dismissed for 14, in the sixth over, by Ishan Porel, who has claimed both the wickets to fall so far.

11.31 am: The contest between Pondicherry and Tripura is evenly poised. A referral for a run-out is turned down by the third umpire; Tripura is 55 for 1 in 10 overs, chasing 103.

11.29 am: Kerala is well on its way towards collecting four points. It needs another 22 runs to win, in 10 overs. Openers Vishnu Vinod (44, 32b, 4X4, 2X6) and Rohan S. Kunnummal (37, 28b, 6X4) have put on 82 so far.

11.25 am: Uttarakhand has suffered a top-order collapse, and the contest is slipping away from it. It's five down for 59 in the 10th over; Yash Dayal, Saurabh Kumar and Ankit Chaudhary have taken the wickets. it needs another 151 runs to win.

11.22 am: Assam finishes on 80 for 9 in its 15 overs (it's a rain-curtailed contest), and neighbour Meghalaya, on 124 for 8 in its 20 overs.

11.06 am: J&K is off to a rapid start in its chase of 183. It's 51 for 0 after five overs; Jatin Wadhwan has raced to 27, off 13 deliveries. Shubham Khajuriya has given him good support. Meanwhile, Assam is stumbling in Cuttack — it's eight down in the 15th over. It's 69 for 8 with the dismissal of Abu Nechim Ahmed for a golden duck.

 

11.05 am: Himachal has made a good recovery, reaching the 100-mark in the 15th over. Meghalaya, on the other hand, is struggling at 78 for 6 after 15 overs.

10.59 am: Sikkim crosses the 100-mark, doesn't go much further. It finishes its innings on 109 for 5. Milind, the opener, top scored with 54.

10.54 am: Staring at a huge total, Uttarakhand falls further under pressure as Rajat Bhatia, the captain, is dismissed in the second over. Uttarakhand is 3 for 1, chasing 210 for victory.

10.47 am: In Indore, Sikkim is 90 for 3 in 17 overs. Milind is batting on 43, but he has a strike-rate of less than 100. All eyes on him now; can he accelerate towards the end?

10.43 am: Assam, Himachal and Meghalaya have all lost early wickets in their respective innings. Meghalaya also has a slow run-rate of 4.4 to go along with damage suffered — it's four down in 10 overs. Assam is also four down, against Haryana, in the 10th over. Himachal hasn't fared much better — it's 53 for 3 in 10 overs against Team Rajasthan.

10.40 am: Bengal finishes its innings at 188 for 4, Vivek Singh adding fireworks towards the business end of the innings. He scores an unbeaten 30 (18b, 3X4, 1X6).

10.37 am: Nagaland does not fare much better than Pondicherry, finishing its innings at 103 for 8. Opener Rohit top scores with 49; Paras, the No. 7, is the next highest scorer, with 16. The wickets have been shared around — Nidheesh M. D. taking three wickets, and Basil Thampi and Vinoop Sheela Manoharan taking two each.

10.35 am: Pondicherry reaches the 100-mark, for the loss of seven wickets, in the final over of the innings. It finishes at 102 for 9, Rana Dutta having claimed four wickets.

10.34 am: Mulapadu witnesses the first individual century of the day. Mayank Raghav reaches the landmark and is out soon after. He is dismissed lbw by Rasikh Salam, for 103 (66b, 11X4, 5X6). Manipur finishes its innings at 182 for 6, against J&K.

10.27 am: Twenty overs are up for Uttar Pradesh, and it's posted a formidable total. It finishes at 209 for 6. Uttarakhand has a mountain to climb for its fifth win in the tourney.

 

10.23 am: Abhimanyu Easwaran, the opener, is dismissed, and Bengal is four down now. He goes for 59, off 41 deliveries, dismissed by Shivendra Singh. With Manoj Tiwari also out, two new batsmen in the middle have the responsibility of a late assault. Bengal is 155 for 4 in the 18th over.

10.19 am: Assam's opening partnership is broken via a run-out. Rishav Das is run-out by H. J. Rana. Assam 16 for 1 in the third over, against Haryana.

10.15 am: Pondicherry loses four quick wickets. Is it the domino effect? Fabid Ahmed, M. Viknesh, Rohit D. and P. Thamaraikannan are all dismissed. Rana Dutta and S. S. Majumder are the wreckers-in-chief. Pondicherry 90 for 6 in the 17th over.

 

10.12 am: Manipur reaches the 150 team total, for the loss one wicket, in the 16th over. Mayank Raghav, the opener, is 11 away from a century. Yashpal Singh, the No. 3, has a half-century — he is batting on 51, off 33 deliveries.

10.11 am: Rohit D. reaches his half-century, playing for Pondicherry, off 52 deliveries. It's 84 for 3 after 15 overs bowled.

10.09 am: At the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, Haryana has chosen to field, against Assam. Assam scores eight runs off the first over.

10.07 am: Fabid Ahmed is dismissed, and Pondicherry is three down now. It's 79 for 3 against Tripura.

10.02 am: In Mulapadu, Nagaland is five down now, against Kerala, Basil Thampi with the wicket of Abrar Kazi. Thampi has two, while, Nidheesh M. D. has three wickets so far.

10.00 am: Uttarakhand gets the big fish — captain Suresh Raina. He is dismissed for 5 (off six deliveries). UP 146 for 2 in the 16th over.

9.59 am: Bengal has crossed the 100-mark, in the 12th over. It's 102 for 2.

9.56 am: UP has also lost its first wicket — after his blitzkrieg, Aksh Deep Nath is dismissed for 70, lbw by Rajat Bhatia. Samarth Singh, has taken on the mantle, having already crossed the half-century mark. He is batting on 60, off 41 deliveries, having hit six fours and two sixes.

9.55 am: Pondicherry has lost its second wicket, P. K. Dogra is dismissed by S. S. Majumder. Pondicherry is 70 for 2 in the 12th over.

9.51 am: At the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium in Surat, Himachal has chosen to bat, against Team Rajasthan.

9.50 am: At the Emerald Heights International School Ground in Indore, Sikkim is 35 for 0 in the fifth over, against Railways.

9.47 am: Meanwhile, at the CB Patel Ground in Surat, Meghalaya has chosen to bat, against Bihar.

9.45 am: At DRIEMS Ground in Cuttack, Bengal, after having been put in to bat by Chhattisgarh, has lost two wickets — of Shreevats Goswami and Wriddhiman Saha. It's 75 for 2 after nine overs bowled.

9.42 am: At the Chukkapalli Pitchaiah Cricket Ground in Mulapadu, Manipur has made a positive start to its innings against J&K. Opener Mayank Raghav is batting on 64, off 33 deliveries, having hit eight fours and four sixes. The only wicket to have fallen is that of fellow opener P. Prafullomani, who scored 3 (off 10 deliveries). After nine overs, it's 92 for 1.

T20 extravaganza continues into Day Six from venues across India, for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. On Wednesday, Mumbai and Team Uttarakhand were defeated for the first time in the competition, by Railways and Maharashtra respectively.

Prashant Chopra and Vinay Kumar starred in victories for Himachal and Karnataka, respectively. Among close contests, Uttar Pradesh secured a one-run victory over Services, successfully defending a modest total of 137.
