Two Week Blow For Spurs Star But We Could Welcome A Couple Back Tonight

|

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that Moussa Sissoko is a massive doubt for our Champions League semi-final against Ajax as he expects him to be on the sidelines for the next fortnight after the injury he sustained against Manchester City last weekend.

With Brighton and Hove Albion later this evening, Sissoko will now miss West Ham United at the weekend and likely the first leg next midweek which is hardly ideal from our point of view, as we already know we will be without Son Heung-Min who serves his suspension.

Quoted by the Evening Standard this week, Pochettino explained about our Frenchman.

“Moussa Sissoko is not going to be fit, maybe for the next two weeks, we hope he can recover before but I am not so optimistic.

There is the possibility that we’ll be able to welcome back goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and Harry Winks for this evening’s tie though, although as Pochettino admits, they will be assessed today as there are still doubts and this one may come just a touch too soon for them.

“Harry Winks we don’t know because it is a problem that is one day very good, next day not very good, it is about assessing each day. We hope he will be available for Tuesday but we are not sure. Lloris I hope yes, we are going to assess, we have a training session and we hope it is not a big issue, we hope he is going to be available.”
