Leeds United transfer news: How Marcelo Bielsa’s team could look next season with three attacking signings

What will the Whites line-up be if they get some of their top targets?

Leeds United have managed to keep Marcelo Bielsa at the club and are now targeting signings for the new season.

Having finished third in the Championship table last season and lost to Derby County in the play-offs, Whites fans are even more desperate for Premier League football.

If they are to earn promotion to the top-flight in 2019/20, though, transfers are needed and so far none have been incoming, despite speculation about several wingers.

Former loanee Jack Harrison is just one who could make a move but he doesn't seem close to a deal at the moment.

The club also now know their fixtures for the news season and take on Bristol City at Ashton Gate on the opening day of the campaign, while they face Derby County in their penultimate match, which could reignite last term's 'Spygate' rivalry.

But how might Leeds line-up on August 4 against the Robins with their current transfers targets? Find out below.

John Terry has signed a new contract extension with Aston Villa which keep him at the club until 2021

Ryan Kent (Liverpool)

If the Reds aren't hellbent on a permanent switch for the English winger, then Leeds United may well land one of their main transfer targets this summer.

The Whites were impressed by Kent's spell with Rangers last term and want to get him on a temporary deal for the 2019/20 campaign as they can't afford to buy him outright.

The 22-year-old was a menace on the left wing getting six goals and six assists in 23 appearances.

Liverpool may be keen to loan to a Championship side as a good year on loan would increase his value hugely, as has happened with £21million-rated Harry Wilson.

Helder Costa (Wolverhampton Wanderers)

After two fine Championship seasons, the Portuguese ace wasn't able to make the step up the Premier League and as a result is set to be shipped out of Molineux.

In the second tier Costa got 15 goals and 14 assists in 71 appearances so could add a plenty to Bielsa's side on the right flank.

Reports have alleged the player has told friends he wants to move to Elland Road, which should speed up any deal which might take place.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post he may even be Leeds' No.1 target.

Michael Frey (Fenerbahce)

Currently the least likely of the three players to sign, Frey had an injury hit season in Turkey and only managed three goals in 14 league appearances.

Leeds and Middlesbrough reportedly want the player but he's not so keen on a transfer to the Championship right now, which could well be the stumbling block.

In his previous two campaigns, Frey netted 29 goals and made 12 assists across all competitions with Swiss Super League side FC Zurich.
