On the Market: Dev and data science job openings in Baltimore

Zentail has open positions in operations, product and sales and marketing.

The Columbia-based ecommerce company closed on a $5 million Series A in late October, and cut the ribbon on its new open office with room to grow. Current open roles include product developer and ecommerce manager.

Arena is hiring a senior data scientist.

The Baltimore-based startup using predictive analytics to change hiring at healthcare systems seeks a data scientist with more than three years of product experience that will work on new machine learning and AI methods. The company raised $10.8 million earlier this year, and has a number of open roles.

The Baltimore Orioles are seeking analytics talent.

The local Major League Baseball team is in the midst of a rebuild under new General Manager Mike Elias and just-named Manager Brandon Hyde. Leaders have said part of that is a renewed commitment to analytics. With that comes an offseason search for technologists. According to its website, the team is hiring an analyst to create datasets that can help executives make baseball decisions. The positions are reporting to the assistant general manager for analytics, a role which went to former NASA engineer and Astros exec Sig Mejdal last month.

Byte Back is hiring a site director in Baltimore.

The D.C.–founded tech inclusion nonprofit that specializes in digital training and career growth is expanding to Baltimore next year. Ahead of the move, the organization is hiring a leader on the ground in the city to establish partnerships and build a foundation of student recruitment.

Pinkaloo is hiring a senior front-end developer.

Spotted on LinkedIn, the startup behind a modern charitable giving platform is hiring a JavaScript developer who is proficient with React.js. The role includes developing new user-facing features.

BurnAlong is hiring developers.

Fresh off a new $1.3 million funding round, the Pikesville–based health and fitness startup is hiring for full stack and mobile developers. Fit with the team is more important than fitting the job description.

Key Tech is hiring computer engineers.

The Federal Hill firm that specializes in custom design and engineering is seeking computer engineers to work on embedded systems, creating firmware and software.
