Child hospitalised after crash outside Lincoln school

He was walking to school when he was hit by a car

A boy has been taken to hospital after a crash outside Sir Francis Hill Primary School this morning.

The child was walking to towards the school entrance when he was hit by a car at 8.43am on Wednesday, January 30 on Bristol Drive in Lincoln.

An eyewitness told The Lincolnite that there were around six police cars on the scene, as well as one crewed ambulance.

East Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that they received a report of a road traffic accident and that they transferred a patient to the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham.

The extent of the boy’s injuries is unknown at the time of writing.

Lincolnshire Police launched an investigation into the incident and is urging anyone with information to call 101, quoting incident 64 of January 30.

The school was approached by reporters, but did not respond at the time of writing.
