Giant castle food festival coming to Lincoln

Here’s when the “country’s biggest” food festival will come to the city

Lincoln Castle will host the “country’s biggest” food festival when it comes to the city for a four day extravaganza.

Chow Down will come to the castle on the Easter weekend from April 19 to April 22 before it returns on June 28 for two days.

Expect something for everyone with cuisines from all over the world and a selection of vegetarian and vegan stalls.

These loaded fries look spicy.

There will be plenty of veggie options.

The festival will also bring craft beers, cocktails, spirits and a choice of soft drinks if you’d rather not drink alcohol.

It will also have plenty of entertainment with live music and family-friendly fun activities.

Simon Fogal, founder of Chow Down, said: “After the success of last year’s Chow Down, we wanted to bring the event to a second site.

A tasty burger to get your mouth around.

“After a long look, we found Lincoln Castle and fell in love with the venue. Expect great tunes from our ever rotating DJs, cocktails, ales and a good range of soft drinks.”

“We always aim to bring family friendly atmosphere, with the best street food we can find. We cater for all budgets and dietary requirements and we always encourage you to try something different.”
