Got milk? Heatwave hits a sour note in Lincoln shops

The shelves are udder-ly empty

As Lincoln baked in 35-degree temperatures, the heat proved a little too much for shops which were forced to clear shelves.

It hit a sour note in the Tesco store on St Marks and the Spar shop on Brayford Wharf East, which both have empty shelves at the time of writing.

A shop assistant in Tesco told a reporter that the high heat proved a little too much for the fridges, which needed to be cleared and cleaned.

Both shops are currently waiting for a new shipment of milk to arrive later on Friday, July 26.
