Emergency crews respond to Lincoln quarry incident

There was a large police and paramedic presence in the area

Update, May 7: Police have confirmed that a man was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no suspicious circumstances. 


Police and ambulance crews rushed to the quarry near to Outer Circle Road this evening.

Multiple police cars, an ambulance and an official in a white protective suit were seen by people in the area.

Lincolnshire Police confirmed that they were called to the quarry on Greetwell Road just after 4pm on Wednesday, May 6.

They were responding to a report of concern for a man who had been found in the quarry.

No further details have been officially released at the time of publication.
