New Lincoln 24/7 emergency vets opening in June

Routine appointments will be available Monday to Saturday

A new vets with a 24/7 emergency service will open in the south of Lincoln in June.

City of Lincoln Council gave the go ahead last year for the former NatWest bank on Newark Road to be converted into a veterinary surgery.

Family-run business Rase Veterinary Centre has been established for around 50 years and it will open its 17th branch, and second in Lincoln, on Monday, June 1. The branch has created four new jobs.

The surgery will be open for routine appointments, including neutering and dental work, between 9am-6pm Monday to Friday and from 9am-5pm on Saturdays. Sundays will be for emergencies only, with this service available 24/7.

The routine consultation fee is priced at £30, but if this is restricted to being on the phone due to the current coronavirus guidelines then this cost will be reduced to £20. The cost of the emergency appointments depend on the time of the call and nature of the problem so prices vary.

The practice has four of its own veterinary surgeons who will be on call at all times. The phone line is now open on 01522 214696 for people to register or book appointments prior to June 1. Customers can also register online here.

Steph Ward, Marketing Manager at Rase Vets, told The Lincolnite: “We’re excited for welcoming new clients to the practice or people that may have used our other branches before. We pride ourselves on providing excellent care for all species of animal.”

Meanwhile, the business’ other practices currently have social distancing measures in place, including taking payment over the phone and only the animal coming inside the practice, with the owner waiting outside.
