Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries, Rameshwar Teli, attended the ongoing North East Foodtech exhibition at Maniram Dewan Trade Centre in Guwahati on June 15.
Foodtech India – the largest business-to-business (B2B) exhibition in eastern region on food and hospitality industry, is hosting the second edition of North East Foodtech, the first-of-its-kind in the northeast, till June 16. The North East Foodtech was inaugurated at Maniram Dewan Trade Centre on June 13.
Speaking on the occasion, Union minister Rameshwar Teli said, “This is my first visit as a Union minister of state for food processing. I am very happy to see many food processing equipments and machineries here that will surely benefit the overall industry in the region. As a Union minister, I will work on the development of the industry. I hope that the Assam government will also extend their help. We want to provide employment opportunities to the people – it could be through subsidy and skill education, so that small-scale industries are set up. This exhibition will help the budding entrepreneurs to know about the field.”
Organized and marketed by Delhi-based firm NK Kapur & Co Pvt Ltd in association with Hotel & Restaurant Association of Assam, the North East Foodtech is presenting this vibrant platform to the people of North East to explore the opportunity of start up business in food & hospitality industry once again.
The 4-day exhibition is showcasing the food processing machinery, bakery & confectionery equipment, food packaging machinery, bakery & confectionery accessories, food display counters, beverage processing equipment, commercial kitchen & refrigeration system, tableware, food industry IT products, food additives & ingredients, commercial chocolates, food packaging materials, sweets & snacks making machinery, food flavours & colours, dairy technology and many more. More than 90 companies from all over India will display their products in this exhibition. Live demo, products knowledge, technical know-how etc. are being provided to the visitors.
“The 2nd Edition of North East Foodtech-2019 has increased by 31% in term of the volume of the show”, mentioned Zakir Hossain – Chief Convener of the show. In the 1st edition, trade visitors from neighboring states like Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura & West Bengal turned up to explore the opportunity.
The 2nd North East Foodtech-2019 is an ideal forum for the young entrepreneur of North East to get a complete solution of Food Industry in one hand and to get new ideas /concepts to convert their existing Food business into a modern & technology oriented venture, Hossain explained.
