Placement Week begins at NID, over 100 companies to participate

It’s that time of the year at NID when college students put to test their academic , interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and other skills to test.
You guessed it right. We are talking about the placement season at NID Paldi and Gandhinagar campuses where more than 100 companies from FMCG, automotive, textile, apparel, games, IT sector, lifestyle, educati on, jewellery, electronics, advertising, entertainment, studios, fashion brands and furniture besides start-ups will take part.
Talking to Ahmedabad Times, Sujitha Nair, head, industry, placements, students and alumni relations, said, “Students from all the 19 disciplines from our three campuses will be sitting for placement. Last year, the placement rate was 80% because some students opted to open a venture of their own.”
A release issued by the institute stated that the placement week 2018 has been scheduled on December 3 and 4 in Ahmedabad and December 5 in Gandhinagar.
The placement week will be focused on full time recruitment and degree project. There is a significant increase of more than 50% in new companies visiting the campus. This year we have a good participation of new companies from varied sector,” it stated. While 50 companies are expected on December 3, 43 are expected to participate on December 4 followed by 18 companies at Gandhinagar campus on December 5.
