AGARTALA: Indian high commissioner to Bangladesh Riva Ganguly called on Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb at his office on Monday afternoon and discussed several issues related to ties with with the neighbouring country.

Deb also highlighted the intention of his government to export at least five million kg of tea produced in Tripura Tea Development Corporation's (TTDC) estates to Bangladesh. Saha added that the CM has urged Ganguly to pursue with Bangladesh to waive off Customs duty on TTDC tea, which is now 80 %, and general duty of 25% to strengthen ties between the two countries.
