UP: 4 arrested for molesting woman in guest house

Four drunk men, including two from Ghaziabad, were arrested by Agra police from a guest house, after they allegedly molested a woman and assaulted her husband.

AGRA: Four drunk men, including two from Ghaziabad, were arrested by Agra police from a guest house, after they allegedly molested a woman and assaulted her husband.
Identified as Manoj Bansal (Meenakshipuram, Agra), Sandeep (Kalandi Vihar, Agra), Vishal Gaud and Ajay Sharma (Govindpuri, Modi Nagar, Ghaziabad), the four were booked under IPC sections 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 323 (Punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation).
Out of the four, Vishal Gaud holds a distributor agency of grocery items, while the rest three are his employees.
According to police, the four men were drinking and listening to loud music in a guest house close to bypass road, Lagde Ki Chowki, when a couple of Auraiya district who were sleeping in next room requested them to lower the volume. The couple had come to city for medical checkup at S N Medical College and wanted to rest.
Station house officer of Hariparvat, Mahesh Chandra Gautam said, “The four heavily inebriated men instead of listening to couple’s request, molested the woman and attempted to outrage her modesty. When her husband tried to rescue her, the four assaulted him. This entire act happened inside the hotel.”
The incident took place at around 2am on Thursday early morning.
