AHMEDABAD: As the five-day Sabarmati Cleaning drive ended on Sunday, some 191 tonnes of waste including plastic bottles, pan wrappers, clothes and pooja waste such as dry coconut and red chunri, were cleared from the Sabarmati riverbed. Some 60,000 people from different walks of life, participated in the massive river-cleaning campaign of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) which was kick-started by CM Vijay Rupani on June 5 – on account of World Environment Day.
