87% of EC survey respondents unaware of VVPAT

GANDHINAGAR: The Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) survey conducted by the Election Commission of India (ECI) in Gujarat has revealed interesting insights into the state’s electorate, including its knowledge of the electoral process.
The baseline survey covered 49 assembly constituencies from five regions: Kutch, North Gujarat, Central Gujarat, Saurashtra, and South Gujarat.The categories covered included urban, semi-urban, rural backward, forest, developing, industrial, desert, and coastal.
