Ahmedabad Crime Branch rescues businessman kidnapped for ransom of Rs 25 lakh

AHMEDABAD: Ahmedabad Crime Branch in a major joint operation with Udaipur STF rescued a businessman who was kidnapped four days ago. Crime Branch has arrested four accused on Sunday morning and are on there way back to Ahmedabad from Udaipur .
Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime Branch Deepam Bharani said the Operation had to be kept a secret as the accused were know to the victim and there was a possibility that the victim could be eliminated if appeared in the media.
Inspector Kiran Chaudhary and his team along with Udaipur STF located the kidnappers and arrested. "We have recovered the ransom amount paid by the victim's family to the kidnappers," he added.
