Ahmedabad mayor inaugurates nine-day-long carnival in city

AHMEDABAD: Mayor of Ahmedabad, Bijal Patel inaugurated the Grand Amdavad Carnival 2019 on Saturday. The nine-day long festival and exhibition will be held at Gujarat University Convention and Exhibition Centre. Some five lakh visitors are expected to participate in the carnival that will offer a variety of products in the exhibition stalls in addition to live performances and stage shows as well as a plethora of cuisines.
The exhibits on display will include FMCG products in addition to travel and tourism, lifestyle and home décor products among various others, where visitors can indulge into shopping during the vacation season.

“The Grand Amdavad Carnival 2019 has been conceived as a nine-day festival of entertainment and shopping for Ahmedabad. It will indeed be a one of its kind experience for all age groups, where Ahmedabad will rejoice in the hustle-bustle of urban life and cherish the vacation season,” said Himanshu Aggrawal, the organizer of the event.
