Ahmedabad police arrest woman involved in major human trafficking racket

AHMEDABAD: Zone six police of Ahmedabad arrested a woman involved in a major human trafficking racket run from Ahmedabad. The accused is identified as Maya.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Saurabh Tolambiya said the woman used to sell the girls to Madashtra since four years and even the CBI was after the woman.
He added that the woman used to kidnap the girls from Isanpur and Kagdapith area of the city."We have arrested the woman late on Saturday and will produce her in court on Sunday. Sunday being a public holiday, the hearing will take place at the judge's bungalow," he added.
It is worthy to note cops are interrogating the woman to trace a 14 year old girl who was kidnapped in 2014. The case was transferred to CBI on court's direction.
