On Mo day, a few m nicipal worker told locals th they will r move the wate by pumpin into a local gu ter, but nothi pened in that direction.
“I had taken three members of my family to a nearby clinic with complaints of fever and gastric infections. I suspect it’s because of this stagnant water,” said Manoj Sharma, a local resident.
Another resident from the area, Siddharth Gadhvi, said, “When we won a house in New Maninagar, we thought this place will have civic utilities. Today, we wade through gutter water. Drains here are either choked or absent. The topography of the place has not been respected and the AMC has allowed constructions in natural drain,” Gadhvi said.
