VADODARA: Enraged over getting a dressing down for not taking up a job, a 25-year-old man allegedly killed his father in Simadiya village near Dabhoi on Sunday.
On Saturday night, the accuserd Rajendra Tadvi was about to leave from his house after dinner to meet his friends, his father Ramsinh Tadvi (60) scolded him for whiling away his time in the village instead of doing anything fruitful and earning.
Angered by his father’s scolding, Rajendra got into heated arguments with him which even led to scuffle between them.
Soon, in a fit of anger, Rajendra picked up a wooden log and started raining blows on his father.
Ramsinh died on the spot due to heavy blood loss. His wife Dwarka informed the police and Ramsinh’s body was taken for postmortem.
Dabhoi police registered a case of murder on Sunday and arrested Rajendra by late evening.
Police said that Rajendra wife had also left him few years ago as he was taking up any job.
A big fan of actor Sanjay Dutt, Rajendra he used to sport a hairstyle like him and just roam around in the village, said police.
“Ramsinh used to earn money by doing odd labour jobs, but because of his growing age, he wanted that Rajendra to start earning by taking up some work. However, Rajendra was least bothered about earning and used to simply while away time with his friends. His callousness often led to heated arguments between the father-son duo,” said a police official.
