‘Came here as cops didn’t file FIR’
Ahmedabad: Leenu Singh, a Delhi resident, has accused IAS officer Gaurav Dahiya of bigamy and breach of trust. On Tuesday, she said that she was forced to come to Gujarat because Gandhinagar Police had failed to act against the bureaucrat even a month after she had moved a plea against him.
Why did you meet the Gujarat DGP?
n I have waited long enough for Gandhinagar Police to call me in person to file the FIR.
But they did not contact me. So I met the DGP and submitted evidence against Gaurav Dahiya as requested by him.
Do you intend to meet the CM?
n I had got a pass to meet the CM on Tuesday but IAS officer Sunaina Tomar took me to her office. She has assured me that an FIR would be filed soon. I will try to meet the CM on Wednesday, if he permits me.
Why do you feel unsafe in Delhi?
n Gaurav Dahiya’s family lives in Gurugram and is very influential there. I am not concerned about myself but I fear for my daughter’s life. Dahiya has in the past threatened to eliminate me and my daughter.

How did Dahiya threaten you?
n He made a WhatsApp call and threatened me in such a manner that I could have no evidence against him. He is very clever. He took each and every step after consulting his lawyer.
When did he last approach you?
n Just a month ago after my complaint was moved to Gandhinagar Police. At the time, he was in Mussoorie and he pleaded with me to sort out the issue. He said that he was helpless as he could not abandon his third wife. He expressed fear that his third wife would defame him if he leaves her.
Dahiya says you tried to blackmail him.
n He had filed the plea with police after I tried to lodge a police complaint following a spat between us at an Ahmedabad hotel.
But the Ahmedabad city police did not register my complaint and asked me to file a complaint with Delhi Police. Subsequently, Dahiya filed the plea with the Ahmedabad city police, on February 25.
