CM inaugurates honorary consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Gandhinagar: Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani on Monday inaugurated a consulate office of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Gandhinagar. He said that the office in Gujarat will take bilateral relations between Kazakhsthan and India to new heights.
Mutual collaboration and coordination will increase between India and Kazakhstan in many areas including cultural, economic, commercial and strategic and educational fields, he said.

Rupani inaugurated this honorary consulate office in Gandhinagar’s Sector-8 in the presence of Kazakhstan ambassador Bulat Sarsenbayev and newly appointed Honorary Consul Dilip Chandan.
The MoU signed between India and Kazakhstan for the availability of ultra-sensitive material like uranium and strategic minerals will establish new faiths and commitment. He described the 45 bilateral collaboration MoUs between India and Kazakhstan in 2016 as an achievement. Rupani also invited the Kazakhstan delegation to visit the Vibrant summit in 2019. Kazakhstan is keen to build a jetty on the western cost of India, and this will accelerate Kazakhstan’s economy. He also urged Kazakhstan to take massive advantage of 40 small ports of Gujarat.
Kazakhstan ambassador Bulat said that this honorary consulate office will add a new dimension to the holistic growth of Kazakhstan. He added that a delegation with trade and business leaders from Kazakhstan will participate in Vibrant Gujarat-2019.
