AHMEDABAD: A team of Gandhinagar police will be dispatched to New Delhi to record the statement of the Delhi woman, who has filed an application of complaint against senior IAS officer and the then director of NHM (National Health Mission) Gaurav Dahiya who has now been transferred to the post of joint secretary in GAD.
A senior police official from Gandhinagar said that the team would first record the statement of the Delhi-based woman who levelled allegations of bigamy and criminal intimidation against Dahiya in an application submitted before the women cell of Delhi police.

The application had been transferred to Gandhinagar police as Dahiya is posted in Gujarat.
“After recording the statement of the Delhi-based woman, we will summon Dahiya to record his statement. It is only after a thorough probe that further course of action would be decided,” said a senior police official.
In her application of complaint the woman has alleged that Dahiya took her to Tirupati Balaji temple in Andhra Pradesh and married her. She has also alleged in the complaint that later she came to know that Dahiya is also involved in an affair with another girl and has also married her.
The woman has alleged that thereafter Dahiya had stopped meeting her and she had to go Ahmedabad in February 2019 to meet him.
According to allegations made by the woman at that time Dahiya had come to meet her at a hotel located on Ashram Road and had a verbal spat with her.

“The woman had called up the city police control room, based on which her statement was recorded by Vadaj police of Ahmedabad. About ten days later, Dahiya had sent an application to Vadaj police alleging that the woman was blackmailing him.”
Meanwhile, sources said some time ago Gaurav Dahiya was seen at a hospital in Ahmedabad. “He had come for a woman’s treatment whom he had introduced as his mother-in-law,” said a senior police official.
