City police chief A K Singh said these cyber experts from the cyber cell will aid local police in investigation of relevant cases along with proper monitoring, so the accused can be proven guilty in court.

“These cyber experts have been trained in gathering digital evidence and footprints so that it can be presented as strong evidence in the courts,” added Singh.
In another step, the Vadodara police commissioner, in the line of Mumbai police, has formed three sub-units of the city crime branch.
Vadodara CP Anupamsinh Gelot said there will be three other units of the Vadodara crime branch apart from the main one. “One unit will be stationed at Ravpura, the other at Makarpura and the third at Gotri. The main office of the city crime branch will be at Bhadra Kacheri,” he added.
Currently, the Vadodara crime branch has about 80 personnel including one DCP, one ACP, five PIs and eight sub-inspectors.

The office of prevention of crime branch which is at the main CP office will have another branch near Lehri Gate to control the law and order situation of the city,” said a top police official.

A senior police official said the formula of separating the crime branch was started in Rajkot about three years ago, where east and west wings of crime branch were formed.
