Gandhinagar girl tops GPAT exam

A student of Gujarat Technology University (GTU) affiliated college has topped the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) 2019, results of which were declared on Wednesday.

AHMEDABAD: A student of Gujarat Technology University (GTU) affiliated college has topped the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) 2019, results of which were declared on Wednesday.
Ankita Yawalkar, a resident of Gandhinagar and studying at the LM Pharmacy College scored 302 of 500 marks and secured the top position amongst 42,000 total candidates in the exam that was held in January 28 across the country.

Talking to TOI, Ankita said she relied upon her teachers’ guidance besdies referring to pharmaceutical books and trying to get additional information on the net. She now wants to focus on pharmaceutical research while pursuing her post graduate degree.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) started conducting GPAT from this year onwards. It was earlier being conducted by All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE). GTU vice chancellor, Navin Sheth said that Ankita has done the state proud with her performance.
