Gujarat: Helmet deadline pushed back

GANDHINAGAR: Considering the coming Diwali and New Year festivals, the state government extended the implementation dates of the new motor vehicle rules from October 15 to October 31.The government also pushed back implementation of other traffic rules. It also reduced the Rs 10,000 compounding fine for autorickshaws to Rs 2,500. The government also accepted many demands of the Autorickshaw Drivers’ Association.
