AHMEDABAD: A 42-year-old woman, who is from Mumbai, on Sunday evening registered a complaint against her husband at Sola high court police station, alleging that he had bitten her little finger during an altercation.
Ami Jhala, a resident of Golden Lotus Bungalows near Science City in Sola, in her FIR stated that she runs a business offering tour packages at CG Road and is from Mira Road in Mumbai.

She further stated that she a few days ago she had asked her husband, Dipak Jhala, not to speak to his mother and in return he told her not to speak to her sister. This caused a fight between them on Friday, the FIR states.
Nursing a grudge from the quarrel, Dipak started heated arguments with Ami on Sunday morning. He then got furious and started abusing her. When she resisted him, he slapped her and as she tried to defend herself, he bit her little finger, the FIR states.
Ami then started scratching Dipak’s face to defend herself. Although he soon left her, he threatened to kill her. Ami then called Dipak’s friends, who tried to work out a compromise between the couple. As Ami was injured, she went to the Sola Civil Hospital and then filed a complaint alleging assault and criminal intimidation against her husband.
