Ahmedabad: Man molests friend’s wife

AHMEDABAD: A 30-year-old woman from Khadia filed a complaint of molestation against her husband’s friend, who had grabbed her hand and told her if she did not marry him he would kill her husband and two children.
The complainant, in her FIR with Karanj police, stated that she met her husband’s friend, Idrish Chhipa, a resident of Jamalpur, after she got married 12 years ago.Chhipa initially lived in the complainant’s neighbourhood and later shifted to Jamalpur. When he was her neighbour, he would come to their house as well, the FIR said.
“I used to treat him as a brother but I learned that he was in one-sided love with me so I started avoiding him. On January 23, he stalked me when I was going to meet someone in Jamalpur and he suddenly barred my way and said that he loves me very much and wants to marry me. He then grabbed my hand and misbehaved with me. When I tried to resist, he slapped me. As I cried for help, some people gathered around and he fled,” stated the complainant.
