Ahmedabad: Man nabbed for making fake RTO receipts

AHMEDABAD: Gomtipur police on Saturday nabbed Gujzar Ahmed Ansari, a resident of Surendranagar, for allegedly forging RTO receipts, which are needed release an impounded vehicle. Police sources said they have booked Ansari for cheating.
Police sources said that they raided his house based on a tip-off and allegedly found more fake receipts. Further investigation revealed that Ansari had given one Samir Ali Ansari a fake reciept, bearing a signature and stamp, to enable Samir Ali tp get his autorickshaw released from Gomtipur police station.
“Surprisingly, Samir Ali managed to get the auto released based on the fake receipt. “We raided Gujzar Ahmed’s house and found several such fake reciepts,” a police official said.
