AHMEDABAD: Drinking liquor proved costly for two city-based men, whose luxury car worth Rs 40 lakh was seized by
Vastrapur police, as they found to be
drunk, near Bodakdev on Sunday night. According to an FIR registered at Vastrapur police station, the cops were on patrol when they came across the two men, aged 27 and 18, respectively, in suspicious circumstances.
When they flagged down the car, they found the occupants to be drunk. Police then seized all their belongings, including a high-end mobile phone worth Rs 40,000 and the car, worth Rs 40 lakh.
Inspector M M Jadeja of Vastrapur police station said that the 27-year-old suspect has a cellphone shop while the other man is a student. They are residents of Sabarmati and Ghatlodia, respectively. They will be able to get back their car back after going through the court procedure in the prohibition case.
